Water Insecurity on First Nations Reserves: Infographic
Kanisha Acharya-Patel took Aboriginal Peoples and the Law with Professor Metallic in Winter 2021 and produced an A2J project titled 'Water Insecurity on First Nations Reserves". Kanisha is from Waterloo, Ontario. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia (BSc. Natural Resources Conservation) and is working towards her JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Kanisha is completing a specialization certificate in Environmental Law, as well as a certificate in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. Kanisha has a vested interest in public interest law with a focus on protecting the environment and the rights of Indigenous peoples, and has worked as a summer law student with East Coast Environmental Law (1L) and the Canadian Environmental Law Association (2L).
