Keesha Ryan is from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (Epekwitk) and took Aboriginal Peoples and the Law with Professor Metallic in the Winter Semester of 2022, producing an A2J project entitled “A History of Institutionalized Inequality of Indigenous Peoples”. Keesha obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Prince Edward Island and is working towards a JD from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law. Keesha is a proud Black islander, is an active member of Dalhousie’s Black Law Student Association, and will be articling with Carr, Stevenson & MacKay in Charlottetown, PEI.
